Retirement Day

So, May 29th my last day at work. People kept asking me how I felt and all I could tell them was that I felt good. I’d no idea at the time and still don’t (as of June 14th) what’s like to be retired. I know that I’m glad not to have to be going into the office. Not because I hate the people but because I’m fed up of working.

They had a little surprise celebration for me, which was great. I was sitting in the lobby waiting for a friend to have lunch and I kept on seeing people going into the grab and go but not coming out. So, I figured that something must be up. And, I was right.

After lunch, I dropped off my badge, laptop, phone, mi-fi and office key and left the building. Never to return as an employee. Visitor, who knows?
